Congratulations on buying a new Home!

An exciting time for sure! You can’t wait to move in and get acclimated to the new neighborhood. What are the first projects for this house? Will you repaint some rooms, change carpeting, knock out walls? It can be daunting to decide what to do but, everyone wants to make a house a home and quickly.

Are you using existing furnishings or ready to purchase new? My suggestion is, don’t rush to buy what’s affordable now. When that happens, often people look on-line and unfortunately, without realizing, they may be buying quick and cheap.

When it comes to furniture, buy better quality, for comfort, style and upholstery that goes the distance. What works for the lifestyle, sofa versus sectional, sofa/loveseat and chairs etc? Where to buy, what to buy, what to spend?

If you budget is tight, don’t stress. Instead, consider buying from stores offering plans for no interest, no payments, for several years. This lets you complete a room now to enjoy.

Please consider shopping locally for upholstery versus on-line. You can’t tell the comfort of upholstery without sitting on it. Find out the “quality story” from a salesperson so you aren’t just buying a sofa with attractive fabric but, something with a sturdy frame, good springs, providing years of comfort and is in a durable fabric, suitable for every day use.
