Color, no color where will it end?

By now, you’ve seen enough neutrals, in everyone’s home. Granted, they are easy to live with but, in trying to be “on trend” we are no longer unique. Every home seems to have gray walls, a white quartz countertop, white cabinets, stainless steel appliances and a wood floor. Yes, it is beautiful, but where is the homeowner’s individual personality in all of this?

While trying to make our homes feel special, they all feel the same.

It’s time to add “you” in your home. Even with neutrals, you can, as Emeril Lagasi says, “Kick it up a notch”. By adding color, whether it be in backsplash tile, decorative elements on the counter top, an area rug, colorful chairs around the kitchen table etc. These elements show your personal style. Do you own any inherited pieces that you felt were just old? Maybe it’s time to reexamine those items to see if you really do like them and wouldn’t mind using in your kitchen. You’ll be surprised at the compliments you’ll receive from neighbors too timid to add something unique to their home.
